Amazon is preparing to introduce “Zen Booths” that would help warehouse employees to recharge, rejuvenate and take a break while working.
In a video shared on its Twitter account, Amazon said the "AmaZen" chamber would help staff focus on their mental health. The tweet was deleted several hours later. The e-commerce giant has been repeatedly criticized for working conditions in its facilities.

The booths also called “mental practice booths” are part of the company’s “Working Well” program that caters to the well-being of the warehouse staff, by offering “physical and mental activities, wellness exercises and supporting healthy eating.”
Describing the AmaZen booths, it said: "During shifts, employees can visit AmaZen stations and watch short videos featuring easy-to-follow well-being activities, including guided meditations, positive affirmations, calming scenes with sounds" the BBC website reported.
In the now-deleted Twitter video, the pod can be seen to have just enough room for a chair, a small computer table against one wall, and a few small potted plants on shelves. The top panel was painted as a blue sky with clouds, the BBC added.
